Noise Exposure Levels The determination of the daily noise exposure is based on both the noise level and time duration for each activity during the day.

Noise Survey

Determines noise exposure levels by:

  • Attending site at a time when all operations are at full capacity

  • Taking a variety of measurements of noise levels throughout the location

  • Reviewing measurements and providing a report listing recommendations to progress Noise Control Planning strategy.

The December 2011 Code of Practice applies to all types of work and all workplaces covered by the Work Health & Safety Act, where there is the potential for exposure to noise that can contribute to hearing loss.
